The Artist Behind DART

Kate Lee, a sophomore in highschool and talented artist, had her work recognized as “Best of Show” for the 2024 Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s annual Student Art Contest. Her creative piece depicting a scene of children playing will be showcased at rail stations, buses, trains, and at the Dallas Museum of Art. Her creativity shines through the details of the piece where she tells a story of joy and discovery. 

We have had the honor of teaching Kate since she was in middle school and got to see her grow into an amazing artist. We always encourage our students to try to put their art out there and challenge themselves. She did exactly that and won an awesome contest that will showcase her art everywhere in Dallas. We are so proud!
