March Update
We are elated to be a part of the Castle Hills neighborhood and are welcoming new students to our art studio located in the Village Shops. As we start the new year, we wanted to inform our community of the importance of art education and the many opportunities it can bring to our children’s growth.
Understanding and getting to know the emotions of growing children is essential as a parent. It’s fair to say it would be impossible to know everything that’s going on in your child’s mind, especially in their formative years when it gets more difficult to communicate and relate with them.
Art class is one bridge to better understanding how our children think and feel. When you examine their art, you will discover the various imaginative worlds within them. There could be a child who on the outside seems very outgoing and active, but in their drawing, we see the sensitive artist picking emotional colors and depicting their life.
Through our teachings, we do not simply explain the characteristics of objects that we see, but also how the object makes us feel and the meaning behind the object. For example, when looking at a sunset, we go beyond the colors we see in the sky. With a trained eye and endless imagination, we find the sea amid the sunset sky, ships floating, with birds flying over the islands peeking through the clouds.
Many parents think that their child must have an innate artistic talent to receive an art education. However, art classes can play an integral role in any child. As important as it is to grow a child’s talent, it is also important for children to be able to express and explain their thoughts and see things from a different perspective. Through each student, we learn new perspectives on each other’s work and develop ideas for improvement.
We welcome new students to broaden their horizons at our studio.
